its a small narrow room with only half walls because the room is with our attic. We have one casement window.
Paint the small black table in a vibrant color of your choice. Chalk paint would be easy to do. I think turquoise would look great with black. Ponce painted go get some throw pillows in turquoise and perhaps yellow. Use accessories that would tie the colors together.
Have you thought about just putting on table runners or finished cloths of your choice to add color, or even scarves? You can even use the same to cover some throw pillows to tie it all in together.
Here's a palette of the colors I mention so you can see how they really compliment each other,
BJ, I think you might have an idea as to what you should do for YOUR color taste and style sense, but below are some ideas for the web. Hope you find something you like, and thank you for coming to Hometalk for answers ;)
(generally you see red used with black / gray and white .... but unless you eally like red, why be like everyone else? use YOUR favorite color and designs on the wooden furniture as accents that say "THIS is ME" Have you thought of stencils?) ;)

off white chalk paint with dark wax would lighten things up and still fit in nicely with the darker items in the room.
First get some cushions or throws in different colors that you like and see what you find most pleasing in that room near those black pieces. Keep doing this until you get a combo you love immediately. if nothing pleases you at first, keep going. When you know in your heart what color family you want there, only then think about painting. Maybe you won't even want to at that point. Just an idea...🌿
I'd stick with the muted palette and accesorize with art and other colorful accents.
