I have a bedside table that has the top damaged, but the rest is still in great condition. I would like some ideas as to what could be added to the top.
Just remove that slat, and put another one in its place. This will be fine. If you choose to paint, then you can do so. Make sure you use OUTSIDE PAINT. Best wishes, J. You may also want to use a sealer, after you paint them, as a protector, so you won't have to paint every yr. Best wishes on your choice, J.
I like the wood look that you have now, I would just replace the wood with treated wood as it would last a lot longer even if you paint or stain it.

All great options! I would let your climate dictate the walkway. I love natural stone, but, if it snows where you live, stone can get slippery. If that is not a concern, that would be my vote. I have tumbled gravel in several areas of my property but might be difficult to navigate for some people, I would add cement pavers if you choose that route. If the deck will be pewter (great color by the way), I would do the walkways to match just for continuity. Not much help, just thoughts for you to consider. ☺
Thanks to everyone for your comments and suggestion.
The treated pine wood walkways and decks will be retained. Wood repair and replacement to be carried out as necessary. The current paint is to be chemically removed followed by a thorough power washing. BEHR Premium Textured DeckOver, color Pewter, is the chosen refinishing product.
Again thank you
