Make a paste of Dawn dishwashing liquid (two tablespoons) and Diatomatious Earth (one cup), available as a pool filter product or a supplement at livestock feed stores. Apply with a toothbrush, scrubbing in a circular motion. Let the paste dry. Brush off excess and rinse with the upholstery attachment of a carpet shampooer and let dry.

If you sprinkle baking soda or corn starch that will lift some of the grease. let it set overnight.. You make have to do it a couple of times.. If some is still there use dawn soap to get the rest out with a rag..
