What to do with wood after pine tree is cut down?

Are you interested in the lumber or for fire wood? Many lumber mills won't take city trees....may have nails, other metals in them. You will have to saw it your self, if you want fire wood....it needs to dry out. That can take a while.

You could hire someone to come and chip it up. You could use it in you garden. Depending on the kind of tree, you could use long straight pieces for to make walking sticks.

put it at the curb and put FREE sign on it, if pine is used in fireplaces, someone will take it.

You could mulch it to spread around other plants.

The tree service should have hauled it away. You cannot burn it in a fire place. You probably do not have a wood kiln to remove sap and make it useable for projects. They are magnets for wood beetles and termites.

dry out for the rest of the summer ( keep it dry) . Great for fire place or fire pit. Sell to someone who has fireplace.
