Using a glass door insert I had, I created a new beautiful table. Watch how I did it.
This is the door insert I had. I figured it would work really nicely as a decorative glass table top. All I needed was to create a base and add table legs.
Using wood, I framed the door insert. This way I can safely attach the wooden table legs.
Here are the table legs I decided to use. This is before I stained them.
I stained the table legs and then put a nice finishing coat over them. They look really nice.
And then I attached the table legs to the table top.
The table is complete! I am really happy with how it came out!
Here is the finished product. It was a tough project for me as I have never built furniture from scratch but with a few little additions. It turned out great.

How do u get the glass to stay in the wooden frame?

It looks beautiful! Did you support the glass, other than the edges in the wood frame? Perhaps with plexiglass or regular glass beneath. The cames holding the glass pieces together might sag over time, if you put weight on them. Either way, you did a great job. :-)

So is the top uneven surface or did you put a piece of glass over it or did you turn it over to smoother side?

Lovely job!. For fun you can run a string of LED color changing lights underneath.

If anyone else decides to repurpose a stained glass panel, other than a door insert, please sandwich it between two pieces of thick plexiglass for safety and install a center cross piece underneath for strength. A regular panel will sag and are not made for horizontal gravity.
