This is an example of paint bleeding under painters tape
Apply tape as desired then run a small bead of caulking along the tape edge. Use your finger to then wipe away as much of the paintable caulking as possible. This caulking fills the gaps that would allow paint to seep under the painters tape. Now just paint with no worries.
