he temps around here have really been climbing recently. We actually reached the 80’s the other day. The kids love it when the weather gets nice and warm because it means that we will be spending more time outdoors. This water bottle holder is perfect for me when I’m on the go. When I take the kids to the playground, I like to keep my water bottle near me. However, when pushing the kids on the swing or picking up my daughter, I can’t hold a bottle of water because both hands are occupied. That’s why I love this water bottle holder. It makes it so convenient to keep water with us at all times.
Here’s what you’ll need for this project:
  • fabric, about 3″x8″
  • vinyl, about 1/4 yard
  • fabric glue
  • scissors
  • washi tape/embellishments (optional)
Wrap this fabric around the water bottle and secure the seam with fabric glue.
*TIP: Make it loose enough that you can easily remove the water bottle and put a new one inside.
Attach the open end of the strip to the bottle wrap. See how we created a criss-cross bottom that will hold the water bottle in place.
Finally, we need to attach a strap to the top part of the bottle wrap so we can carry this holder. Use hot glue to attach one vinyl strip that’s about 1/4″x30″. You can adjust the length of the strap to suit your needs. Want to place the strap around your wrist like a wristlet? Use a shorter strap. Want to wear the water bottle like a cross-body bang? Use a longer strap.
I really love the way this came out. Visit the blog for more details & tips!
