What color to paint bedroom walls.

Question

I have gold drapes in our bedroom and some leftover light blue paint. I'm wondering if the blue walls would go with the gold drapes or should I think of another color to paint the master bedroom. It's on the dark side.

I think the blue and gold would look great, as long as you do something to tie the colors together with your bedding...and add a small touch of black with accessories

I agree with LaJean on painting the bedroom blue~as long as the blue isn't too dark. for the bedspread I would try to find one in multi colors of blue, white, black, gold and maybe even a little red~ check online for multi colored bedspreads and see if you can't find one that would please you and a store you can purchase it at~

Thanks, the blue paint is a very light blue and I do have a yellow/gold quilt with all the colors you mentioned!!! I also have a red/maroon throw for the bed too. The gold drapes have a hint of maroon in them. I'm excited about starting our bedroom project after your help. Thanks again.

Find some fabric with both colors to pull it all together for your accessories,window treatments and bedding.Start with the bedding first.Steinmart has great choices in bedding

Thank you so much for the info. I'll have to find a Steinmart near me. It's hard finding bedding in Wal-Mart or K-Mart.

If you can't find the bedding you like locally, try Amazon.com or Wayfair.com.

I think it depends on what else is in the room. Do you have a rug, duvet cover or chair that can tie the two colors together?

Actually, I don't. Our furniture is dark, we do have a tan down comforter we used at times. And our carpeting is a charcoal grey.

Light blue and gold remind me of French design... you can use some distressed furniture...I think it would be beautiful and relaxing.
