Hey there Hometalkers, having a nice day I hope!
I have been purging some more craft/diy stuff and I have a few more little projects I just made for my bathroom, which will be finished very soon! icon
Can't wait to decorate!! So I have been looking at my favorite stores, like Crate and Barrel, West Elm and Pier1, for ideas on different things from towels to benches for that room. A couple of sculptures from Crate and Barrel were really nice and I thought,"I'm gonna make that!" So I did, not the exact same but close!icon

Two pieces of scrap wood, medium sized wood embroidery hoop, wood chopsticks, a piece of driftwood, a conch shell, a starfish, rope, white paint, clear glue, a drill and cutting pliers will be all I need to make three coastal decor knock offs (I didn't use the shell medallion instead I used a starfish)!icon
I separated the embroidery hoop and drilled a hole (the size of the chopstick) through the hoop without the screw. Then I drilled a hole in the center of each piece of scrap wood (same size as the chopstick) but not all the way through! I then painted all of that plus the chopsticks white. Let first coat dry about 15-20 minutes then do one more coat and let that dry about half an hour.
I also drilled a hole in the driftwood.icon
Next...

I cut one of the chopsticks to about 3 inches with the pliers. Put the stick in the driftwood hole with a dab of glue, then put the other end in the smaller piece of scrap wood with a dab of glue. Finished!
The one at Crate and Barrel had a metal base and was a big root for $149! Mine has a wood base and driftwood! Mine was also free!icon
Next piece is...
This one is two different things I put together to make one sculpture.
The hoop and stand part were from Crate and Barrel, the shell part was from West Elm.
So I cut the other chopstick to 5 inches. I put one end of the stick into the hole in the scrap piece of wood, added the hoop and then the conch shell on top with glue. I put extra glue on this part to make sure the stick would stay and hold the shell upright.icon
Next...
I wrapped rope around the embroidery hoop and glued the ends together where the screw part connects (while the paint was drying). I used glue to hold the starfish to the rope. This one is for hanging on the wall. The idea came from a shell wreath at Pier 1! icon
I have more free decor to add to the new bathroom icon !!
A base, a stick and something to put on the stick! Super easy stuff and cheap!
I had all of this material on hand and have three more free projects!icon
Some other things I made for the bathroom.

Well onto the next project, a wood bench, a shelving unit for outside and solar light path! I got a bunch of free wood recently!!!icon
Thanks for looking and all comments are welcomed!!

Thanks Wendy! The new bathroom will be very light, airy and natural with a bit of muted blue and green. Pretty much simple and clean straight lines! I'm so happy that room is so close to being done!!!
