How do you put up sheet rock?

I need sheet rock put up for a closet underneath my stairs.

I was taught that you go long ways and start at the bottom. Put screws in studs. bout 2 to 3" apart. don't sink screws in to tight or it will damage the sheet rock. Then you have to perfatape it. I think "ThisOld House" has an online video.

Do the ceiling first. Mark the studs so you can screw the studs easily. Watch the video first. Put the right side out. Buy a goodsheetrock knife. And a square so that your cuts are stright.
Measure twice, cut once.
Sheet rock is easier then you think. Make sure you have a blade knife. Measure and use your knife to cut. Use drywall screws with a drill to place them. That's about it.
