  • Yellow or green would pop nicely.

Unless you want to make a statement, nothing that contrasts. If you have an HOA to limit your choices, then it's easy. If you're on your own, think about the look you want. Is the door recessed? Is there an awning or cover over it? Does the west sun shine on it and heat it up? Do you have a lot of greenery around it? Personally, I would not go with white simply because it gets dirty so fast (even if you don't have kids). If you don't like the darkness of the maroon shutters, you can always try a lighter shade of it. Head to the store and get a selection of paint chips that you think would match. Don't go too light, though. And then I would boarder your door with plants to pull everything together.

Deep gold? How about painting it black then by using a door decor that contains a pop of color which would allow you to change the pop of color.

I'd say yellow or blue. I'm seeing a lot of red doors, so I probably would not go that way.

I'd go with either black, or maroon to match the shutters. If the door is all wood, I'd probably go with black. If it has a large section of glass in it, I'd go with the maroon.
