Fashion accessories are so fun to wear. They add interest to any outfit. But they're so hard to organize and store!
Scarves, belts, hats, and other accessories end up scattered all over the place, so you can never find what you want to wear.
These simple and thrifty storage ideas will help you get your accessories in order. Keep them, and you, looking beautiful.
Trays:
Roll up your scarves, belts, or ties, and display them in a tray. Trays can sit on a shelf in your closet, or stack in a drawer for really efficient storage. Pick up a few at a thrift store, or even the dollar store for an inexpensive storage solution.
Bins:
A deeper bin like this one holds all those awkward to store swimsuit pieces. Roll them up and toss them in a bin, and you'll have all your choices in one place so you can mix and match your pieces when you need them. A bin may also work well for storing small handbags.
Baskets:
For items like winter hats and gloves, or even socks, a shallow basket can be a handy storage choice. The shallower basket keeps your piles from getting too tall, so you can find what you want without digging through and making a jumble of everything.
Cubbies:
Once you've filled those baskets and bins, you'll need somewhere to put them. Cubbies allow you to fit a lot of different items into a small space. They can also be a nice way to store and display your purses, or even your jewelry. (See more jewelry storage tips here.)
Pegs:
My personal favorite storage method for accessories is to use simple pegs. Pegs are very versatile. You can hang scarves, belts, hats, purses, and more. This particular peg rack is actually a repurposed cup rack! For a few bucks, you can have a ton of efficient storage, and a pretty display. I keep mine handy in my closet.
