Who doesn't love some color in their home especially the kitchen where everyone tends to congregate. I put out a poll on my Creative Moments Facebook page as to what colors I should do for some mason jars to add to this super cute dovetailed wood box and got green and coral as the winners.
Pop over to my blog for free home decor and furniture tutorials.
The poll went out and the winners were hands down green and coral, which would you have chosen? It is easy to do other colors and change with the seasons too.
And who doesn't have mason jars? These are actually store bought chunky pickle jars that fit in the box perfectly. I painted one Bliss from Country Chic Paint and the other coral from Fusion Mineral Paint.
Seeing they could be used for cut flowers I wanted them a bit more water resistant on the outside so added a couple coats of Country Chic clear wax. It also gives a lovely sheen to them too.

I added jute to the tops to add texture, a bit of detailing and bring the natural color up from the hemp oiled wood box.
They are adorable as a table center piece, for paint brushes, etc
But my favorite is a catch all for kitchen utensils which keeps them easy to reach right by the stove!

How did you paint the jars. Were they spray painted on the inside?

If a child could make them and put pens & pencils in them, they could give it as a gift to their teacher... ??🍎
