DIY Photo Display Frame for Mulitple Small Photos

Last Christmas, my daughter received an instant camera as a gift. Since then, she has taken quite a few instant pictures of everything from her hamster, our dog, her stuffed animals, to random items in our house… She’s only 7 so there are no artistic photo masterpieces in there (and these are polaroid pics, which are famous for their horribly bad quality! icon ), but she wanted a way to display her photos, so I created a DIY Photo Display Frame for her to hang her favorite pics.
I started with a large picture frame from Target that I never used because I didn’t have any pictures that would fit the frame.  So in my closet it has sat for the last 6 or so years, until now...
Here is an abbreviated description of how I turned this plain picture frame into a unique and personalized display frame for all my daughter's favorite pics! For full details and instructions, please visit my blog at the link at the bottom of this post.

First, I removed the glass/plexiglass from the frame and painted the frame and the backing white.
I then painted the wording and letters to spell my daughter's name in a metallic blue (blue is currently her favorite color, buh-bye to pink which was the previous fave!)
Once all the paint was dry, I used a hot glue gun to glue the lettering and the corner design pieces to the frame.
Next, I glued a strip of 6" burlap to the top and bottom of the picture backing board.
I then glued three pieces of string across the picture backing board, placing them far enough apart to leave room for the small clothes pins and pictures.
I then placed the backing board into the frame, added the clothes pins and then the pictures.
Next, I hung the frame in its intended spot in my daughter's room. She loves that she can now display all her favorite pics and she can change them out whenever she wants. :-)
