How do I fix the torn silicon sweep on the bottom of my shower door?

I have a stand up shower in my bathroom that has a glass door with a silicon sweep at the bottom to keep water from getting on the bathroom floor. It is torn, and I want to replace it, but I can't figure out how to either remove the door in order access the sweep or to slide the sweep out. I've seen the rolls of silicon at Home Depot, but I can't even figure out how wide I need or how to access the bottom of my door to replace it. I hired some handymen to do some work around my house, but they seemed stumped too. Does anyone have any ideas?
