Rubber chair shoes
Cut strips of cork and glue to bottoms of furniture
Really need a picture of the chairs, but my first thought was to buy the large floor protector "squares" and cut to size. Or, buy some tube pipe insulation, cut in half lengthwise and glue to bottom of chairs.
use tennis balls
Look at the hardware store for chair leg protectors. They come in many sizes & shapes. If there isn't one that fits perfectly you can use some cut plastic shims to fill them in.
I like the idea of the rubber chair shoes, but I'd be afraid to use cork in case the weather disintegrated it. I was thinking some plastic floor protectors for chair legs with felt on the bottom.
