I have had an itch to make some pineapples for a bit of fun. So why not make some shiny ones with some beautiful Rinea foiled paper!!! Pair that with some Floracraft Styrofoam and they are a perfect light weight decor, crafty project, even great for the kids to make!!
Start with a square and a circle of Styrofoam (both 4 inches), a Styrofoam cutter, and some sheets green and gold foiled paper.
Glue the circle on top of the Styrofoam and shape it into the shape of a pineapple, kind of like a rocket shape, with the heat Styrofoam cutter or a knife.
Cut the gold foiled paper into tons of little triangles.
Start at the bottom of the pineapple Styrofoam shape and start gluing the gold triangle pieces.  This is upside down right now.  When you are done you flip it over and all the points of the triangle are facing down.
They are so easy to make, even kids can make these fun summer pineapples once the shape of the Styrofoam is complete - only adults should use a heat wand or a knife.  You can even have fun making other colors of pineapples, bottom is pink, top is purple...the ideas are endless!
Glue all the gold triangles all the way to almost the very top, make sure to overlap as you go to get good coverage, like I said you need a ton of triangles!!!  This is what it looks like at this point.
Cut the green foiled paper into longer shaped triangles, kind of like long leaves.  Start gluing them to the top of the pineapple to make the top.
Here is a step by step video on how to make these fun pineapples!
These fun shiny foil pineapples are a fun decor item for the summer, a great home decor for your table, mantle, or just on a window sill!!  Plus they are super light!!
