Sunbrella fabric attached to the frame might be an option ...I am not sure how permanent it would be. Florida 12 months a year .. up north 4 months ?...

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Easy-Gardener-6-ft-W-Saddle-Tan-Shade-Fabric/3028056. Comes in a long roll. Have used it to cover east-facing screens in porch for 4 years in Central Florida. It doesn't fade and has not deteriorated in any way.

See if you can find the bamboo rollup shades. They come with hardware to mount it and you can roll it up if you want to. The come in pretty good sizes, I have one in my bay window that covers four windows and would go just about floor to ceiling if I let it down all the way. Used to live in Naples, wish I still do, but ailing father brought me back to MN. Aging mother(97) still keeps me here.

Dad passed on seventeen years ago, but mom is now ninety-seven, a bit forgetful, but lives on her own and both my brother and I live close to her. I bring her our left overs so that she doesn't have to cook, and she is now addicted to hot dogs, and also has frozen dinners and I cook up meat when she buys it and pack them singly for the freezer so she has any meat available to just heat up. She also loves fruit and eats a lot of that and lettuce and tomatoes. I also bring her produce from the garden so she always has that in season. I would give anything to be back in Naples in the winter. People thought I was nuts when they found out I left my winter coats with my Mom. Never wore more than a fall coat! Summers are just as hot and muggy up here as they are in SW Florida!

I have seen the most gorgeous bamboo against the inner screen of lanai each one attached to the other with wire fitting top to bottom of the screen and was told you can find them at Home Depot. They stand straight up and it's so pretty Im going to do it even though I don't really need the privacy. Google it or check Home Depot. Good luck!

You can use Florida glass on your you can use Florida glass on your lanai, which is the screen with a coating on it that blocks the view of looking in or out. Most people use it where privacy is needed or on the lower portion of the lanai. It also helps keep rain from hitting ground and splashing through the screen. I've added a Youtube video for you to check it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4H1l5tNrk8k
