How to correctly grow a gardenia plant?

    Gardenia's like full sunlight, but shaded from strong summer sun. They like "normal indoor temperatures" until flower buds form, then a 5 -10 degree drop at night. They thrive with an acid type fertilizer every few weeks when buds are setting. Keep soil moist, not saturated, and mist frequently.

    Hello Glenda; I purchased the plant. Once I got it home, I dug a large hole.

    I mixed up cow manure, peat, soil, and composted material. I placed this in the hole with the roots of the new plant. I then added the soil back and watered well.

    I have a large, Beautiful Gardenia!!!
