How can I transform my kid's closet so she can reach her clothes?

We live in an apartment so it can't be permanent and needs to be removed easily. My child keep breaking hangers, because she can't reach very high, even when she uses her stool.

You could use chain from the hardware store, or even rope to attach another rod at the right height from the existing rod

Try getting tension rods, those might work.

A shower curtain rod with tension will work. That way you can place the rod at whatever level you want.

Use a good tension rod! There are also the rod extenders that hook onto the original rod and hang down below with another rod.

Have you tried using a tension rod like for a shower curtain? You could run that below the regular rod and it is just held up by the springs pressing the ends of the rod against the walls of the closet, so no damage to the walls.

Check around for the old fashioned rod like I had when I was a kid. It turned the closet into a double rod closet with an upper and lower rod and it hung from the upper rod. I think I saw them at Walmart a while ago, home improvement stores and even Bed Bath and Beyond may have them.
