How to Safely Clean a Porcelain Tub and Remove Stubborn Stains

I have an old antique claw-foot cast iron/porcelain tub that is in great shape but tends to get dingy from time to time. Most normal household cleaners are too abrasive so I wanted to share which products are best to use to clean them without doing any damage. Cleaning is on everyone's to-do list with spring on the way! I can't wait for winter to be over!
Porcelain tubs are great to have, especially if you're lucky enough to have an old antique one that is still in great shape! Taking care of them, cleaning them and keeping them sparkling doesn't have to be difficult.
These are some of the dingy stains that I get sometimes. Mostly an icky water ring stain (which is caused from hardwater and soap residue).
There are a few non-abrasive products that you can use that you probably already have around your house, including baking soda.

I use Mr. Clean eraser sponges, these really do the job on rust and soap scum...

@Karen V Just be cautious if using Mr. Clean Magic Erasers on porcelain. They do take away the soap scum and other spots, but the erasers are also abrasive. I use them very sparingly, and when I have a major problem area. Using for regular cleaning isn't a great idea because they can eat away the porcelain finish overtime.
