Make these colorful school accessories with Duck Tape and Rhinestones. They will make doing homework fun! No one wants a boring pencil holder and paper clips.

With all of the wonderful colors of Duct Tape sheets that are available, I'm sure you can find one that you love.

Supplies Needed:
  • Plastic Pencil Case - These are available at the dollar store or Walmart. You might have more luck finding one just before school goes back.
  • 1 sheet of adhesive Duck Tape
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • X-acto Knife
  • Stylus or something to score Duck Tape. If you don't have anything else, try a ball point pen.
  • Large Paper Clips
  • Large Rhinestones
  • E6000 Glue

Cut a sheet of Duck Tape to the size that will cover your pencil case.

Lay the pencil case on top of the back of the sheet, and score where the corners are so that it will easily fold around it. If you use a pen, the marks won't show.

SLOWLY take the backing off the adhesive sheet. If you do it too quickly, it will stick to itself and make a huge mess.

Lay the sheet on your work surface, sticky side up.

Following your score marks, lay the front of your pencil case on the sticky sheet. If your pencil case has a flap like mine, hold the flap up, so it's not stuck down.

Fold the side up and around to the back, sticking the adhesive as you go, so you don't get bubbles and wrinkles.

Use the X-acto knife to cut around the snap. It was difficult to cut a circle, so I cut an X over it and trimmed it back.

Using E6000 Glue, glue a rhinestone onto the snap.

Lay a rhinestone with the back facing you, on your work surface.

Add a small dab of E6000 glue to the rhinestone back.

Place the end of the paper clip to the glue, making sure you have the correct end of the paper clip.

Add another small dab of glue and put another rhinestone on top, so that the rhinestones are back to back.
