When we moved last year I swore I would NEVER, Ever, ever paint another kid's room a crazy color...and then somehow our resident teen batted her pretty little eyes and begged me to paint a black chalkboard wall. Needless to say, I gave in! We started to look for a new bed but after seeing how pricey they are decided to incorporate it into our wall mural instead. It's still a work in progress but we love the way it looks!

I have chalkboard walls throughout my office and our homeschool room. I LOVE them. So great for creativity, writing down ideas, and illustrating concepts to the young (and young at heart) and curious!
