Nautical Towel Hanger for Pool Area
Cheap, easy, practical! This was made in about ten minutes (after paint dried)
The kids love the pool. Unfortunately, very much like their rooms, they do NOT love picking up after themselves!! Unless it's 100% convenient (like placing the laundry hamper in a place where they physically have to move it out of the way, to get wherever they need to go!) for them, whatever they use, ends up... you guessed it, ON THE FLOOR! Ugh! Even WET TOWELS! :/
Raising four kids, with two in college isn't cheap! I am always looking for simple/inexpensive ways to "help" them keep things tidy.
I purchased these dock cleats more than a year ago, because I love anything nautical and knew I wanted to use them somewhere... I just didn't know where, or how... until now!!
I had the scrap wood- I have LOTS of scrap wood!
I had the cleats and paint. I even had the netting! (I think I paid 1.00 for it a while ago at dollar general!
Now... I had the perfect use and the perfect spot!
The patio NEEDED a place to hang towels... (and stuff in general, but mostly towels!)
Took scrap wood, painted and drilled holes, screwed in cleats purchased at Home Depot, found fishing net at dollar store and draped it over. That's it!
- Scrap wood (Garage)
- Dock cleats (Home Depot/Lowe's/walmart)
- Screws (Home Depot)
