Paint color to go with red/orange brick.

Question

I have a 1970's ranch with dark red/orange/black brick exterior.    I need to paint my front door and shutters on my windows.  What color would be appropriate besides white?

What color is the mortar? Stay in that category for color. Spend your money on a really attractive door knob. Or use a green tone. Brick is difficult to match to other colors. Buy some of the practice colors from your local store in shades yo think will work. Paint a large piece of cardboard or wood and put it near some of the brickwork. Then pick the one you like.

Any color for the door would be beautiful. I love the look of black painted shutters on red brick; it looks really elegant.
