If you mean to just cover and protect the whole grill from rain, etc. shower curtain liners are really cheap and would be easy to sew thin elastic around the edges to keep it on.

You can use a shower liner/ curtain. Just "gift wrap" the end corners and secure with binders.

Anything waterproof you can fold to fit and secure to stay on will do, even the clear painters plastic cloths. I did this for years with my outdoor furniture on my front porch, I put all the cushions on the loveseat and covered it and they stayed clean and dry all winter.

Get a large vinyl tablecloth at goodwill or clearance at a home store. Make sure it's heavy duty. And large enough to cover your grill Ciular or rectangle will do. A piece of vinyl from fabric store will do was well. Snip perpendicular 1" cuts around the edge (about a foot apart), and pull twine or elastic through . Color, print or paint to go with your outside decor.

You can get an inexpensive plastic tarp. They have grommets that a bungee cord can be used to hold it to the grill in case of wind.

The sell those pretty cheap in most home stores, or walmart.... https://www.google.com/search?client=opera&q=grill+cover+walmart&sourceid=opera&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8 cheaper than you can buy most of the material to make one. But if you were to try, I would suggest one of those oil skin table cloths.
