"Bad" is a bit vague for me to offer any advice more helpful than "fix them". Care to share what you mean by "bad"?

What is wrong with your windows? If you describe the problem and maybe add a picture, I bet someone will have a helpful idea!

If you are referring to having moisture or "fog" in between the panels of double panedwindows, that means the deal has a leak. There is no fix that I am aware of. You will be amazed when difference new Windows make!

"Bad" could mean a lot of things when it comes to windows. If your windows are truly "bad", even though it can be expensive, you should try to replace them. Old, drafty, non-insulated windows are often the greatest source of wasted energy in any of our homes. Maybe you could start with the worst window and replace one at a time as you can afford it. Hope this helps, good luck! 😉

you can glaze the windows (replace the material keeping the panes in place, caulk around the windows to help prevent drafts, and you can plastic over them to prevent drafts, as well. The plastic kits are about $8 and cover several small windows, or a couple large windows.

Okay, that is different from what I was envisioning. The seal on your double pane windows has failed. You now have a milky white appearance instead of clear windows, correct? Sorry my friend, the only option is replacement. Warranties vary and some offered lifetime protection against this but unless you know what brand of window, you are on the hook for the replacement. My last house had Andersen windows fail just a year out of their 20-year warranty. I feel your pain.
