Stone Balinese Kitchen Splash Back

Kitchen Splash backs .. replacing Plain white tiles wtih a Indonesian stone mosaic tiles in the kitchen
This is the splash back I had ,and time to take off all the tiles
I started by taking off all the old tiles with a hammer and bolster good ideato have some eye protection so particles don't go into your eye
Once tiles are all off clean the area and make sur wit is dust free run a vacuum around to be sure time to fix any holes cUsed by removal although I was lucky and mine came off with out causing any damage or holes
I mixed up glue as per directions on the bag and left sit for 5 min to activate while I waited I set the tiles how I would like them to look I then. Using a 5 mm gap tooth plastic spatual found in the tile section I placed glue on wall leaving the teeth pattern then also placed glue on the underneath of tile working in a 1 metre area at a time then pressed the tile to the wall using a grout applicator I used to press so it stuck evenly and continue this process till all tiles were on the wall let the glue dry 24 hours
Mix up grout as per direction on the bag also wait 5 min before using and then start applying making sure u push grout into the large gaps between the rocks once the area is all grouted wait 30 min and wipe with a damp cloth to remove any excess u may have all over the stones the more u do rub the stone the more of the stone becomes chunky looking so u can keep it smooth looking or chunky depending on the amount of grout you wash away
After letting the grout dry for a couple of days you can then apply a sealer which doesn't take long dry and the project is complete :) although this didntake a couple of days due to letting things dry it probably really only took 4 hours all up

It' is nice I love it :) so much I went and did my whole bathroom after doing the splash back it was a massive job :/ but looks amazing
