Having a Baseball theme baseball baby shower, but looking for a little more vintage look!!
Go with garlandy-type faux greenery along edges and draping down the sides. Sounds like you are going more for a sophisticated-look, so I would use a beautiful large fresh floral centerpiece in a med-dark metallic holder, with flowers in shades of yellow and off white tones, plus lots of greenery to echo the garland. Perhaps tall ecru colored pillar candles in med-dark metallic candle stands to complete. Good luck!

How about just some Glass or pewter/Silver Candle sticks or vases that might have been her Grandmothers with candles matching her colors or baby's breath and some white or colored roses.... something simple.. or how about some small pottery or glass cream pitchers with ivy and small baby roses and baby's breath arrangements ? depending on the rest of the theme used..
You can't go wrong with a centerpiece of fresh flowers. Also, the cake and the punch you're serving can each add a pop of color, so coordinate the flowers with those items. Carry the color theme through with your plates and napkins. Use stands in different heights to elevate the serving pieces to give the table a fuller, more three-dimensional look.
Does the bride have a color theme for her wedding?
I love the idea above of using family heirlooms - or things from the thrift store that look like they could be.
Glass or silver or Pewter Candlesticks and or Vases.. something that might be a Family Keepsake or Heirloom.... Simple Glass Vase with Roses and baby's breath. Maybe all the serving pieces could be Family pieces too.. My Mom has several Large Glass serving plates and matching serving dishes ...
A large Basket of Fresh Flower and or Fruit...............
You are most welcome! I'm sure your event will be lovely!
Why not allow the cake to be the centerpiece of the serving table? After all, it is all about the bride and it is her day. Could also place cake at one end and counterbalance it with a large floral arrangement in the bride's chosen colors with punch and fruit and cheese trays in the center of the table.
First find out what colors the wedding is going to be and what theme such as rustic, wine theme etc this will give the right flow to keep with?
