What to do with front door glass so its not see thru at night time

You can purchase privacy film that can be cut to any size

Get some "frosted glass" sheets big enough to cover the door.

We put a one way mirrored film on ours on the inside.

Or you could paint them with glass paint to give them color and a 'stained glass' affect that is harder to see through.

We have glass panels on either side of the door with 8 glass panels in the door itself. We cut a designed frosted contact paper and fit the sections into the windows. It allows light in but no one can see in. It looks lovely from the street at night with soft light eminating from inside without anything visible.

How about a cordless cellular shade? You could leave it open all day, and just pull it down at night or whenever you want privacy. I have some of these in my home, and when open, they fold completely up to the headrail, only about 2 inches thick.

Another possibility is a door curtain. You have two rods which mount very close to the door surface above and below the window, and have a curtain with a top and bottom rod pocket. A tightly shirred curtain will obscure the view of the inside. I just checked the Penney's website, and there are a number of door curtains for sale there, so you can see what I mean.

The question is: do you want to see through it in the day??? If so, the reflective window film is your best option. If it doesn't matter, we use those poster sized window clings because they add some fun color and style.
