Today I’m sharing the latest project in my mini kitchen renovation.

I’m almost done transforming my bright lime green kitchen into a lighter, brighter farmhouse style kitchen.

I only have a couple projects left before things are finally complete.

I am hoping to replace my oven later this year with a stainless steel model but our white dishwasher is still in good condition. We replaced the motor in the dishwasher a couple of months ago so I’d like to wait as long as possible before we upgrade.

In the meantime I used a vinyl decal that looks just like stainless steel to cover the existing dishwasher.

The vinyl cover comes shipped in a tube. Let it sit for a day so that the vinyl can acclimate to your home. Spray down the appliance with water. Peel it off the backing and apply it to your appliance

Smooth out air bubbles with the little card it comes with or use an old credit card.

This is the dishwasher after. The vinyl looks just like stainless steel in person. I has some extra so I did the front panel on my oven as well. It is really durable and you can wipe it down. It removes easily when you are ready to take it off. This is an excellent option for renters.

Is it contact paper you put on the dish washer? I use contact paper on mine and on my cabinets and change it often to a different look

Very nice look!!! I'm in an old apartment and before going to bed last night was just thinking about either alternatively getting contact paper or the paper that is like vinyl and can be peeled and reapplied without sticky residue. Im upgrading and getting my own fridge because I need more space (18cubic feet) and I want more modern look (either black or stainless). But, I wanna cover the cabinet doors and drawers because I can't paint. The cabinets are stained so this just might work. Thanks for your share.

  Please do not place contact paper onto your cabinets without your landlord's approval. There is a reason your lease states you cannot paint...Common sense would insure that you'd also not cover the cabinets with contact paper. It is a nightmare to remove. I had a tenant who used contact paper to cover the counters. It had a design of fishhooks and lures for fishing. It was very well applied but people coming to seek a place to live did not appreciate the theme! It was very difficult and time consuming to get it removed from the formica counters. I should have kept his damage deposit, but sadly I did not. I had no idea until he moved out that he'd done this "renovation". in my property.
