A Halloween Countdown Chalkboard Pumpkin is a fun way to help the kids count down the days til Trick or Treat night! Magically turn any color of craft pumpkin into a black chalkboard pumpkin with chalkboard spray paint.
Spray paint a craft pumpkin with a layer of black chalkboard spray paint (use spray paint according to the directions on the can.) Allow paint to dry completely in between coats. Apply a second layer of black chalkboard spray paint and allow to dry for 24 hours.

“Prime” your chalkboard pumpkin by rubbing a piece of chalk all over it. Use a soft cloth to gently erase the chalk rubbings. This will give your pumpkin a realistic chalkboard look.
Use chalk to write on your chalkboard pumpkin. For a Halloween Countdown, I put [*Insert New Number Daily*] Days til Halloween.
