Refinishing a Floor the Easy Way

Sometimes a complicated project doesn't need to be as complicated as you think. Do what works for you, and you just might end up loving it!
I sanded this floor down with just a palm sander. I skipped staining it and left the imperfect wood as is...three coats of poly put a nice finish back on it.
Clean and fresh...floors are so important to making a space complete!
pretty wood grain and varying colors...this is why I couldn't stain over top of it!
The old floor before sanding and refinishing.

That is just beautiful!! I am getting ready to put in hardwoods but I do want mine stained. The style of my home just calls for it. You did a beautiful job though!!

We share the same thoughts here. This floor is perfect without the stain. Looks great.
