You can get flea powder to put down on floors. If you do use it do early & leave for the day and take pets or put in a room for the day & do that room the next day. That's what we did when we rented a flea infested house & we had 6 cats & 5 dogs then went to 8 cats. They had them bad & the fleas was all over back yard as they had chickens there before. When we moved no more fleas
Flea bombs, wash all bedding and spray anywhere the animals lay. Big job and I wish you luck. Make sure you treat the animals if you have any. Your vet can help with what products would be best.
Flea foggers will get rid of them. Not only the fleas but they are residual and kill the newly hatched eggs.
Flea bombs. Wash all bedding and treat your pets with a monthly topical or one of the new longer lasting treatments. Also treat your yard with sevin dust. Cheap and effective

A flea fogger also helps. Gets rid of the fleas and the hatching eggs.
We recently went to our local Animal Shelter to get a kitten, little did we know, after handling all those kittens, we brought home fleas, ear mites, etc. First thing we did, was vacuum & sweep the entire house. Second, mopped the floors. used a wet swiffer on hardwood floors, but also used disinfectant wipes as well on all counter tops, bathroom floors, anything I could wipe, I wiped down. Then wash all clothes, comforters, pillows, anything that you or your pet(s) sits/sleeps on, etc.... We also made a homemade mix of baking soda & salt (ground it up to a fine powder & sprinkled around the house -> on couches, beds, etc... It took me about 3 hrs total (my home is almost 3000sq ft) it was a chore, but I did this the next day as well. The 3rd day, all fleas were gone. However, my cats are indoor pets. This is a good site to check out.
