A mahogany or cherry brown door or even a door the same as the shutters would look great

If you are adventerous, a pretty lilac would look smashing too. To me a dark brown would be too harsh and look like a hole with the pretty colors of your house - if you still want brown, how about a milk chocolate color?

Yes, something dark. Either brown, black, or even a deeper shade of the sage. The trim could match the sage green of the shutters.

Color is so subjective but If you like the brown, go with it!

You can go to this Kelly Moore website and see how it would look by trying different colors on a picture you download. I suggest you take picture of your door so you can see shutters and color of house. Then save to your ipad or computer as bigger than phone. Then go to http://kellymoore.com/mycolorvisualizer/ . I did this when looking for color for my front door. Once on website, follow instructions to upload your pic and click on top right side (looks like palette with ".....") and it will bring up paint colors. You can erase and start over.

What color do you like.Paint is vary personal. If you like the brown use it.Paint recommendations are very difficult
