I would have to suggest you throw these away and buy some new ones. Stinky sometimes just can't be fixed!

I would normally give up and throw them but I have to spend over $100.00 for my shoes since I have to buy special ones since my foot surgery.

Wash them with a cup of vinegar added to your detergent. My son had the same problem and this always worked.

Thank-you for all your help! I'm going to start trying the ideas right now.

  • when not in use, place a new dryer sheet inside each shoe

I tried this idea but it just didn't help. I've never experienced this problem before and these aren't exactly new shoes. It just started a few weeks ago.

Lots of good suggestions. I would also suggest pulling the liner out if possible (many sneakers have removable liners) and washing them separately. Dry them in the sun either way.

I have shoe inserts that I wash regularly because they are doctor made. The ones that came with the shoes aren't in the shoes. But thanks! I hope something works! Think I'll try that 10 second shoe deodorizer next.

My next best thought would be to take the shoes to your local dry cleaners and see if they can get rid of the smell.

Never heard of that but will try! Cheap and easy, I like that! Ty!
