Stinky-I never can get my dish clothes to smell clean more then a day!

I keep my used/dirty ones in a bucket of 1/4 Clorox and water under the sink until I have enough to run a small wash load. They come out great and stay fresh.

are they in a location they can dry between uses? If you have a front load washer it might be causing the smell.

I had the same problem no matter what soap etc. I used. I have a front loading washer. Use your regular detergent and softener and fill the compartment for bleach with white distilled vinegar. Cheap and works on towels. I use it for all my laundry altho haven't tried on delicates. Now I buy the most inexpensive soap. My family says "I live to Launder"!

I don't use softener in my towels (for absorption reasons) but I always do a final rinse with vinegar (usually white). Vinegar does not hurt any material type; it's great for getting all of the excess soap out of the fabric.

It sounds like you're talking about after you use it for a day? Be sure you rinse the soap out every time you use it. Let it dry over the divider in the sink.

I agree with Ruth....let it dry overnight. I wash mine with the towels in my front load washer and have never noticed an odor.

I change out mine every day as part of my routine. I change out the dishcloth and towel, placing them in a small bucket by the washer. Then, I wash them with the towels using the white vinegar rinse. They get dried in the dryer or on the drying rack. If you're getting odors, you have bacteria, which is why I rotate mine.

...maybe have a solution of bleach water handy to rinse them out in.

It is the washing machine.Have you tried cleaning it out with straight vinegar and baking soda
