For this upcycled vase DIY, you'll need to begin by selecting the bottles you'd like to use. Then wash the bottles in hot, sudsy water to clean out any leftover residue and to remove the labels.

Evenly spray your bottles with 2-3 coats of chalkboard spray paint, allowing the paint to dry between coats.
Once the paint has fully dried, apply washi tape around the bottles as desired for visual interest.

You may want to paint a sealer over the washi tape to keep it from peeling off. Just be sure not to seal over the portion of the chalkboard paint where you want to write on your vases.
Now write a message or draw a picture with chalk directly onto your vases. This is a great way to remind someone how much they mean to you!

Alternately, you can use the vases to mark table numbers for weddings or other events.
Once you've written your message on your vases, all that's left to do is add water and flowers!
