I just saw some fleas on my dog. We've placed a flea collar on her, comb her with a flea comb, and vacuum every other day. If it gets real bad in the house, I suggest using a bomb. We've used them to great effect. Remove all animals from the house for at least 4-5 hours. Good luck. 😉

Sprinkle diatomaceous earth in the pen, yard, and even the animals. We do this twice a year and we have no fleas. That's a huge $$$ savings for us because we have 4 cats, as three dogs!

I am a firm believer in Sentinel which is a flea and tick medication you give orally from the Veterinarian. Then we spray the area with an environmental spray which lasts 3 to 6 months. Make sure when you vacumn your home to toss out the bag or empty the container outside.

First things first, you need to take care of the fleas outside, or you will never be free of fleas on the dogs and in their pen and in your house. Once you treat your lawn, give the dogs a bath with flea shampoo (go to Petco, PetSmart, etc., and ask an associate for their recommendation for a good one). Clean there pen out, vacuum well and wash their bedding. If you want you can use a flea collar or one of the liquid ones you put between their shoulder blades.

We ordered ours online, but they sell it at most lawn and garden centers. I hope this helps!

Ask your Vet or go to a Pet Store for advice. Wash all things your little (or big) friend has contact with. And don't forget to give him SEVERAL nice baths using a good soap. He'll love the messaging! Rinse him well. If all fails, take him to a groomer for a bath and/or haircut...the hair WILL grow back. And it will be$$$ well spent. HINT: if you live on the North, aim for a warm-ish day.
