This is a plant hanger for beginners like myself - I wanted to share a simple DIY plant hanger with a Fall twist. You don't need to know how to do any crazy knots but if you know more than me (and I know nothing about macrame) feel free to add away!

We want to help you DIY, so some of the materials in this post are linked to sellers. Just so you know, Hometalk may collect a small share of sales from the links on this page.
For an in-depth tutorial, feel free to watch my YouTube tutorial. There is also a second macrame plant hanger option! Like I always say - sharing is caring so let everyone what you'd add or do differently. Let's get started!
Cut two long pieces of macrame rope (Amazon), fold them in half at the middle and put it through the loop.
Now you can order jumbo beads (Amazon)or you can drill a whole through the doll heads at Michael's like me since I was impatient.
I sanded them down after I did so!
Separate the ropes into groups of two. Slide a couple beads up and stagger them towards to the top and make a knot at the bottom.
I strung up two beads onto each group and knot them all at the bottom evenly.
Knot the two pieces of ropes that are laying next to one another (again all at the same level).
I slid a pumpkin (Amazon)into it the bottom and made a simple knot.
I took my wireless drill and went crazy on a faux pumpkin, slid an electric candle into it and hung it up in my office. The possibilities are endless!

This is brilliant and something I will definitely have a go at when I move into my new house. Question.......is that a painting of Sylvester Stallone as Rocky ?

I'm more interested in the window hanging, did you make it as well? If so do you have directions?

Love this idea! The decorative pumpkins never occurred to me! Now I know what to apply my stencils to! Oh boy! (Hands rubbing together as I grin!) Lol!
