These kitchen chairs went From Pink to Black in a few short hours! Here's the makeover-
First start with a light sanding with 200 grid sandpaper to remove gloss and help paint to adhere. ( sorry I missed taking a picture of me actually doing this step)
Then turn the chairs upside down and start spraying using light even spray, Start upside down because it is very easy to miss spots when looking from the top. Let them dry completely and respray any missed spots. My chairs were a bright pink so missed spots were easily seen.
Then spray two light even coats and let dry completely before turning chairs right side up and spray two coats on the top
Once you've sprayed the top, make sure to check for any missed spots, (mine was easy to where paint was light because my original chairs were pink) spray any you see and let dry completely.
Then respray and let them dry..... you then can return the chairs to your kitchen and your project is finished!!
Suggested materials:
  • 200 grid sand paper   (always have sandpaper on hand)
  • 4 cans Black gloss spray paint   (Walmart)

Thanks Wendy, this was a pretty quick and easy project. The chairs will work great in my nephew and his girlfriend's very small first apartment.
