How do I make plain glass into privacy glass on my front door?

My front door has a window with slates making it into 9 panels basically the rest of the door is solid. I saw someone do this on hometalk before but unfortunately I didn't save it but now wish I had.

You can do this several ways:

1, Buy Rustoleum Frost paint and paint the slats.

    2. Buy etching cream at Michaels or Hobby Lobby, and permanately etch the glass.

    3. Buy privacy contact paper and apply it to each slat. Amazon has some amazing decorative window films from stained glass to privacy film.

i like the privacy film....easy up, and easy down if needed. if you tired of that pattern you can change it.

We have beautiful privacy film in the multiple panels of our front door. It allows light in but protects the inside from views. Check Amazon or even one of the large home improvement stores.

HI Jeanne, Buy some frosted film. It's not too difficult to do but much easier with 2 people. Good luck.

I agree with the privacy film idea. Very simple to do, and there are lots of patterns to choose from. Check your local home center for options in your area.

I don't think anyone has mentioned Gallery Glass. I get the clear, and have used it on glass and windows for years. It also comes in colors.
