Mandela Stencil Creates a Beautiful Outdoor Zen Space Blanket Box

4 Materials
30 Minutes

See how easy it is to create stunning blends of paint colours for a zen like feel, whether it be for wall art, or to add to any material, see how we transform this outdated blanket box with Fusion Mineral Paint.

I used Inglenook, Putty, Coal Black & Laurentian - that's 4 testers only to create this stunning mix and variety of colours.
Step 1.
Grab your Fusion Mineral Paint in tester sizes - these convenient small sizes are perfect for any craft project, and they go such a long way! Plus they are Zero VOC, and come in over 50 colours. The beauty of these is they mix and blend so easily together for custom colours.
I just dabbed the different colours and mixed them together.
Stenciling is so easy- they key is using a great brush! I use Staalmeester Brushes available from Fusion Mineral Paint Merchants, and I take a Round one, and just use the tip. I tie a string around the end to make it tight and squished together and now I've doubled my paint brush as my Stencil brush!

Dab off all excess paint and stencil with a dry brush- which means virtually no paint on the brush at all. Then dab, or swirl your stencil on.

Choose different or mix different colours to add variety and dimension to your stencil.

Lift the stencil straight up and off.

Take a paper towel and dry off your stencil, you do not need to clean it with water.

Place your stencil in another area and keep going as much as you like!
When finished, you can add a top coat to add a bit of age.

I used Fusion Mineral Paints All in One Stain and Finishing Oil.

It comes in 6 different colours. This one I used was called Pine.
Here is a close up of the after - the stencil is nice and crisp, you can see the carrying colours and then the ageing on top with the tinted all in one stain and finishing oil.
