Hi it interior and I have laminated flooring. The cladding is on one wall and is a large area.

I am reluctant to use a water blaster because of the flooring and it being interior.

Or Use a soft bristled brush to clean the surface with before you rinse it off well with fresh, clean water. If the stone that you need to clean is inside a building, you will need some mild soap and a bucket of water. Use a cloth to wash the stone surface and rinse it immediately after washing it.

I totally understand! I would suggest a deep brush that can get into all the crevices along with simple soap (Dawn) and water. It may be a little messy and time consuming but if dirt & soot has built up it will be well worth it. Of course, protect your floors. btw - you may want to have a couple of these brushes as they will take a beating :)

    Good luck!
