Also called brown gold by gardeners or RCW mulch, ramial chipped wood or RCW is used in agriculture or horticulture. They come from fragmentation by mechanical milling branches (chipped branch-wood).
The ramial chipped wood can stimulate biological activity in the soil and are very effective as mulch. By composting, the RCW is transformed into humus. So you can recreate your soil and make it rich in micro-organisms. Living soil is the best way to take care of your garden plants ! It's common practice for Permaculture.

The cardboard flower beds are made with cardboard recovered and ramial chipped wood. Good idea for your culture. The RCW will amend and fertilize the soil.

This is great. I wish I could get some of those clippings of wood chips but I live very rural and that is impossible. I would have to buy mulch or buy dirt to go on top of the cardboard.
