These fall decorations are easy to make and versatile since you can change the decorations to other themes. You can keep the candle base up all year and change out the center bands to match the current season
Materials Needed:
  • 3 Pillar Candles
  • Burlap lace ribbon (I found some in the clearance isle at Walmart for $1!)
  • Fake Fall Maple Leaves (you should be able to find a smaller amount of these at the Dollar Tree as well)
  • An acorn and 2 small pinecones (I got these in my yard)
  • Craft jute - 18' total
Hot Glue Gun
Start by hot gluing the burlap/lace ribbon onto each of the 3 pillar candles.
This will be the neutral base that can be used all year long – not just for these fall decorations.
Now you will need to cut 9 strands of jute, approximately 20" long.  This may vary depending on the width of the candle - just be sure it is long enough to tie around your candle.  Take 3 of the jute strands and knot them together on each end, so that you have 3 jute bundles of 3 strands each.
Then find 3 fall leaves you like and hot glue them together.  Do this 3 times.  Top 2 with pine cones, and one with an acorn for the middle.
Get your hot glue gun handy again, and glue one of the leaf bundles onto the center of the jute strands.  Do that for each one.
When it dries, you can go ahead and tie one on each of the candles - putting the acorn on the center candle.
This is a versatile decoration in that we can easily remove these jute strand fall decorations when Christmas rolls around. Then we can either display our neutral candles with just the burlap and lace, or make some new Christmas bands to tie around the candles.  (for example - use a poinsettia flower on green ribbon at Christmas time.)

Where did you get the foliage which is surrounding the candles at the base?

These are lovely! So simple, yet very elegant looking! I will definitely make these. Also love the idea of just changing out the “belt” for the Christmas or any holiday! May do this on battery flicker candles! Thank you for sharing!
