Painting Over Oak Cabinets Without Sanding or Priming!

Unless you live in a house that is almost brand spanking new, chances are you have “honey oak” cabinets somewhere in your home. I painted my island using Annie Sloan over oak. My flooring contractor accidentally got permanent marker on the cabinet door. I repainted and clear waxed allowed it to dry then applied my dark wax but as I wipe the dark wax off I realized that it was all coming off and it just left a big blotch. Any suggestions? Sorry if this double posted but I couldn't find my original post anywhere.

Hi I have paint on my kitchen cabinet, but I would like to distress or chalk paint my cabinets, my question is do I need to remove the paint first and then re-apply the color I want to use
