Happy Fall! So the pumpkin spiced lattes tell me anyway...

Being that the cooler weather has entered the premises, it was time to make something for fall by the front door.

Because the big festive season is right around the corner, I like small easy fall projects that fill in the gap a little...

Grabbing a few scrap planks of wood and a fall stencil message, this little project transpired!

It's quick, easy, and best of all you can say you decorated for fall... even if it did take you only an hour. Fall cheaters unite!

Here's how I made it...
Random planks of wood were placed side-by-side, then traced with a desired shape.
The design was cut out with a jigsaw.
The boards were flipped over, then two boards were screwed across the back to support the project.
To create a fall message, this APPLE FARM stencil was taped off to spell out FALL.

Another was used for just the world Welcome.

They are called Funky Junk's Old Sign Stencils which are from my own line.
All the lettering was painted in black for a stamped crate appearance.

A branch was also added to create a pumpkin stem. Fun!
Next up, I ran to a local farmer's shed to pick up some pumpkins and gourds to complete the fun fall festive look!
Welcome Fall indeed! Think you'll try making one? What message would you use?
