I bought this chest of drawers for my mom! Im sanding it down to natural wood then finish off with a clear coat of polyurethane. There is a few spots that are so close and tight that I'm having to hand sand them. The handles for the drawers are so small had to hand sand them. Made of all wood and very heavy...takes more than me to move it around to be able to get the whole chest sanded. It' s alot of work but in the end it will be well worth the work. Tomorrow I will be finished sanding it and starting to apply the first coat of polyurethane on it
From old to new
I bought it , took it and home, started sanding...nothing special but it will look great!
Take a damp clean cloth and wipe off all of the dusty residue from sanding off the top, both sides and drawers( including the knob handles)
I have not gotten to this step yet ...but it will be applying the polyurethane
And that's it! A simple sanding job with a top coat of polyurethane and voila! A beautiful new chest of drawer. I hope you like it too!
