truly madly deeply pallet sign

I made this sign for my niece's bridal shower. Isn't it purd-y? I love how it turned out. I stained the board first with kona colored stain. then I painted it with white chalk paint. I took my palm sander with 220 grit sand paper and distressed it heavily. I am a sucker for the worn look. I then projected my saying onto the board with my projector. I usually use a small paint brush for the words, but this time I used a paint pen from Hobby Lobby. Painters brand (the kind that is individually packaged, black, fine print.) I am in LOVE with this paint pen. It made the detailed work soooooo much easier. I am very pleased with this sign.
Paint Completed.
Yummy details.
More distressing.
Shined up and ready for my niece. I hope she loves it!
Freshly waxed with Annie Sloan wax.

This is adorable! I got my first pallet a couple of weeks ago and have been addicted to making signs! They are so fun and easy. Thanks for sharing!
